Multiple Measures

The College-Ready Promise’s teacher and principal development systems provide evaluation and actionable feedback on performance. The tools and measures were developed under the theory that a collaborative, thorough, and evidence-based evaluation process will ensure that teachers and principals are fully engaged in their own development, have the knowledge and tools to identify and strengthen growth areas, and have opportunities for recognition, reward and increased responsibility.

The College-Ready Promise (TCRP) understands that effective teaching is complex and can only be understood through a multidimensional view of teacher practice and that measures of effective teaching require multiple data inputs from a variety of stakeholders. The CMOs are using some of following for their measures of effectiveness:

  • Classroom Observations
  • Student and Family Surveys/Feedback
  • Peer Survey/Feedback
  • Teacher-Level Student Growth and Achievement
  • School-Level Student Growth and Achievement
